NM car tow - FAIL!

Check this out. Seen last week on I-25 in Albuquerque. Some dude in a Porsche 944 pulling a Nissan Pathfinder at 60mph in the middle lane of the interstate in mid-day traffic. Note the 10' strap length, and the KNOT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROPE! Good luck stopping this one, buddy. FAIL!

Ophir Pass

Had to scope some back country access for fun & for camping during the phish concerts in Telluride. Took the opportunity to roll up Ophir Pass. A little narrow at the top, but real fine where this picture was taken. Some construction going on just above town - lots of mud in all the rain we have had. Could be impassable in heavy rain until the culverts they are installing are in.

Favre playing Grab-Ass, Vikes set to dominate

Our boy, Favre, is back to his old pre-season shenanigans with a supposed text rumor of a retirement threat causing widespread speculation, and more rumor of a counter offer by the Vikes of $20 mil if he plays. Sounds like classic grab-ass to me, but I do want to see him play. Part of the foil may be an effort to ditch on the 1st game or games in an effort to lessen the beatings he has to take to make it down the stretch into the Playoffs. Honestly, forget that first game rematch against New Orleans. It's the first game of the season, and a non-conference one to boot. I'd punt and play it like a pre-season. Put in the scabs. who cares. Save the hammer for later down the line. With the williams wall intact, and new weapons in the back field, the vikes are in this for the long haul.
