Dick Cheney - Hanging around like a rank fart in church.

Good ol' Dick is in the news again, defending his blatant mockery of the rule of law, and his personal failure to uphold his oath of office. Oh - he'll calim he was protecting America, but doing so by disregarding the constitution is as bad or worse than doing nothing at all. Hey Dick, news flash buddy, for 200+ years we've been working (mostly) to rise above the rancid shitpile that you and your cronies promote and inhabit. Time to "bugger off" pal. Smell ya later!

Recharging the Batteries

Who doesn't love a rainbow? This guy uses them to recharge the mental batteries, just like Leprechaun's and Hobbits do. Don't believe me? Compare, if you will, to the authentic pictures of real Leprechaun's to the left. See? ;-)

Calabi-Yau Manifolds

Check this. A visualization of a grid of 6 dimensional spaces that are part of everything around us. Woah!

Favre PHW Pt 1.

PHW = PURPLE HEADED WARRIOR

Check the press conference here. Please note around the 2:45 mark where he speaks directly to Pack fans everywhere, and then berates them. ho ho! It begins....

Favre, a Purple headed Warrior!

Well, the drama ends. Our boy, Favre takes the practice field today and prepares to kick ass. As far as turning the screw on my local pack fans, I havn't even begun to have fun with this yet. Erica is getting me a team color vikes #4 jersey. Very nice.

Mesa Verde Monday

I visited Cliff Palace at Mesa Verde N.P. with Matt & Darcy on Monday. I hadn't been back in since our original visit in 2000. The place was overrun, which is great. Our local backyard world heritage site is really something everyone should see.

It was blazing hot, but we got in a nice hike in the canyon, and the tour of Cliff Palace. I think they were blown away. I know I was.

Having visited a number of sites in the Southwest and central America, I was totally surprised to hear a new twist on the nature of Chacoan religion in the southwest circa 1300. For the first time, the ranger mentioned that violence, ritual sacrifice, massacres, and possible ritual cannibalism were occuring down here. Bad juju like that would go a long way towards explaining the cautious respect that the natives around here have for the place. They don't visit all that often, and don't talk a whole lot about the place. Oral tradition runs deep, and tribal memories are longer than we may imagine.

Here's Matt posing for "Euroboy" magazine. OK - so he put the scarf on to help with the UV index of 5000 on Monday. Wow!

Rockin' Time!

Kickin' it on the deck in the moonlight, pickin' guitars, sippin' on some vino.

Doesn't get any better than this!

Jeep Wit Kit

The Jeep certainly gained some "Boss" in it's stance with the installation of the lift kit. I drove it one day, then concluded that I would indeed be dismantling the transfer case to install the slip yoke eliminator kit. That is done, and I'll put it all back together this evening.

Williams Wall at 100%, Pack, Bears ask for bailout

A Judge has ruled that the Williams boys will be able to play without distraction this season by postponing their trial regarding a dietary suppliment they took until after the 2009 season is over. In a related and pitiful move, both the Pack and the Bears have asked for bailout funds to stem the losses they expect to see after being flogged mercilessly all season by the purple headed warriors and finishing 5-11 and 6-10 respectively.
